Bridal Shower Favors

Hello,

Phew! I finished and dropped them off 105 Hershey nugget purses and clutches.
Oh, my! of all the 25 white purses, I happened to pick the one with the off center pearl to take the picture for my post. Not so impressive.
Added a little tag at the back.
Inspiration of the nugget purse was from  here.

The tag didn't look good on the clutches so I added the tap in the front. The clutches were made using 2 medium tags from Tags, Scallop combo # 2 die.

Enjoy your weekend!

Black & White Crochet Flowers Altered Photo Frame

Hello,

After making the pink crochet flowers photo frame, I wanted to see how the black and white would look.

It was difficult taking  picture of the black and white color.  I always took picture with natural light and that day it was so bright that I hardly see the image in the lence.

The flowers and the leaves were made using size 10 crochet thread.

Leave tutorial can be found here.  The flowers were inspired from here and here.

Crochet Purses

Hello,

I have a few more little purses to share.

For these purses I used Red Heart Super Saver and I used 2.75 mm crochet needle.  The stitches were tight so  the purses turned out better than my older purses. You can fine the purse tutorial here.  However, I  made the handle a little different.  For the pink and yellow purses I added a few extra chain stitches to the handles.  Then I crocheted around the chain stitches.  This way the handles have a nice round looking.  For the blue purse I chained 38 and double crochet one in each chain. Then I sewed the handle to the purse.

Have a wonderful day!

Crochet Baby Boy Booties

Hello,

I am so exciting to share today post.  They are crochet baby boy booties.  I saw them all over the web but I didn't see the one that I like.  Well, let me rephrase,  I saw a lot of baby booties that I like but I had to pay for the pattern.  I am not good with reading the patterns so that was out.  The other day I stumbled upon one tutorial on youtube and just love her baby boot and her tutorial  was clear and easy to follow.  The best part it was free.

For these booties I stopped at the ankle.  I also changed the toes stitches.  See the above blue boots, the toes area is pretty puffy  and the rest of the booties the toes area are not so puffy.  I did double crochet cluster instead of  double crochet together.  For those who don't crochet this doesn't making any sense.

Aren't they cute! They are so fast to make, I think.  I made one pair in about an hour. I think that was considered fast.  Won't you?

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hot Pink Crochet Flowers Altered Picture Frame

Hello,

I wanted to try to use the crochet flowers to decorate the picture frame to see how it would turn out.  I used gray paper on the frame so for this particular frame it was hard to coordinate with other color.  I had tried several different colors only this hot pink one really stand out.

For these 3 roses the inspiration was from here.  I did my petals different from her tutorial.  I like my flower petals round and fully looking so I added at least 2 more double crochet stitches to each petal.  The pearl swirl was from Want2Scrap.  I bought it at the convention 3 years ago.

 Crochet leaves tutorial here.

Tutorial for this rose is here. However, I added a few extra double crochet (dc) stitches to each petal and added even more dc stitched to the last round.

Have a wonderful day!

I like the first one better.  I think the pointy label made it prettier.

Thanks for cheeking in.  I truly appreciated it.

Symthpay Card

Hello,

I made this card for my good friend.  Her dad just passed away recently.  I  met the deceased a few times.  Therefore, it was hard to make this card even though  it was a quick card.

The embossing folder was from Ac Moore by Darice.

Lots Of Beaded Flowers

Hello,

I tried the beaded flowers before but I couldn't do it.  My fingers couldn't handle the wire or may be because I didn't use the right tool and the right technique.  After I saw Dr. Sonia bead flowers, I wanted  to give it another try.,  I found a few tutorials.

And this is what I was  doing all day yesterday with my 5 years old helper. She always wanted to help so this time I thought she can actually help and she did.  I had her put the 6 white beads in the wire and I would finish the flower and together we made all these.

I tried these with the color beads on the outside.  I thought they didn't come out as nice as the white beads on the outside.  So I went back and made more like the above flowers.  I also made all white bead flowers. We made at least 100 flowers yesterday.
Then my daughter wanted to make the bead flower all by herself.  I showed her how to and these are her flowers made all by herself. After I took the picture of her flower, she made a lots more. She said that she couldn't help it; it was so much fun.

Thanks for checking in.
