Quick Upsy Daisy Note Card

Hello Bloggers!

I used to spend hours sometime days just making one card because I didn't know what I was doing and because I had no experience in card making. I don't have that kind of  time any more. So I turned to
Split Coast Stamper for inspiration.

Here are my two quick and simple cards.

As always, I appreciated that you have stopped by today.

Quill Bamboo Cards

Hello,
I saw this quill bamboo here.  It looks pretty simple to make so I made  these two cards.

I like the first one better.  The second one is a smaller square card and it looks a bit busy.

Last week I received another award from Irina at Kiddo's blog.  Irina does beautiful modular origami and her quilling creations are stunning.  Thank you Irina for this award.  I am truly flattered.

Pass the award to 5 other blogs

I just share things about me last week so I will share how I came to have this blog.  This blog actually is my third blog.  My first blog was HelenHandmadeCraft.com didn't work out.  Then I used Typepad and that one didn't work out either.  I was very frustrated but I didn't want to give up.  Then I stumbled upon Blogspot and it said I could create a blog for FREE.  All I needed is a google account.  My email is with google so I gave it a tried and here I am two years later.  I am so happy to have this blog and more importantly are the friendship that I've  made through this blog.  Thank You!!!

Tulip Frame and Bliss Note Cards

Good Morning Bloggers!

I saw this card  on many blogs using the Tulip Frame embossing folder from SU and the Bliss stamp set from this pass Sale-A-Bration also from SU.  I didn't know whom to give credit to.

I didn't like the embossed center piece.

I thought it was too busy. So I made another one and leave the center piece plan.

I like this better.
Until next time.

Tulip Frame & Quilling Flower

Hello,
I saw the irsh flowers in my yard,  and wanted to make a card so I made this.
Now if I crimped the purple quilling strips before I rolled may be it will look more like the irsh flowers.

Photo Frame for the Crocketts

Good Afternoon Bloggers!

My friends/neighbors just finished remodeling their home recently and they invited us to their house.   I didn't know what to give them so I made this photo frame with their family name to give to them.  I checked to make sure I spell their  name correctly unfortunately I looked at their not working email address  and so I missed a "c" after the "o".  She didn't notice it until I mentioned.  I offered to redo the name but she thought it looks  o.k.

The frame measure 10" x 12".  The opening in the center fit a 5" x 7" photo.

Quick Father's Day Cards

Hello,
I bought the Guy paper stack last year and made these quick cards.  My favorite is the first one.  On the inside card I wrote  "save this card and you'll never be broke."

Quilling Earrings and Pendant

Good Morning,
I don't know what this quilling technique call.  I just love how it look ( I still need lots more practice). I thought it would make great quilling jewelry.

I glued the quilling pieces on the wooden dish like the  sprial necklaces.  Then I used hemp twine for the necklace.  I just love the pearl in the center of the quilling piece.  So you will see pearl in most of my quilling.

I received this card last week from my blog friend Barbara at Barbara's World of Whimcees

Isn't the image so cute! Look just my daughter or me when I was that little (lol). Thank you Barbara for this lovely card.  Do stop by Barbara's blog and check out all her whimsical work.

Quilled Bear Baby Card

Hello Bloggers!
I saw this blog here and immediately was inspired to do some quilling.

My favorite one is the brown bear.  The quilling tension is pretty even.  The last one I thought it looked more like a piglet (lol) than a bear.  The crochet flowers were from my stash that I made

Thanks for looking.

Quilling Bouqet String Art Card

Hello,

I have had this card inside me forever and finally I sat down and created it.

I wanted to see how it will look with the twisted mini roses.  I used the same color card stocks but I like the first one better.  May be it had something to do with the bow and the pearls.

 Make it Monday

Thank you so much for stopping by.

RAK From Monica

Hello Bloggers!

I normally don't post on  Sunday but I wanted to share what came in the mail the other day all the way from Indonesia! RAK from Monica.

Here are the individual picture.

These are handmade papers.  They are shimmery. Pretty aren't they?
Look at those embroidery!

This one here is pure raw silk.
This one here is pure silk.
This one here is hand embroidery chiffon.
And last but not least handmade paisleys and flowers.

The card that came with the items.

I don't think I will use any of these.  I can't cut them into pieces.   I wanted to keep them for as long as possible (lol).  Thank you SO MUCH Monica for sharing these wonderful items with me.   Now I have something unique and special in my craft collections.   This blog thing kept on getting better and better!

Monica made cards and sold them for charities.  She is very good with using natural materials on her cards.  The world need more people like her.  Do stop by MONICA'S BLOG and give her some blog love.

MoJo #191

Hello Bloggers!

This layout was from  Mojo Monday #191.  The Flourish was from PTI called Fancy Flourish.  I glued the mounting piece before I added the ribbon so I added a piece of card stock instead.  The flowers were all made by me.

So I had to make another one.

Red and Black Quilled Pendant

Good Morning,
I made this pendant last year and I just finished putting the string on.

Can you believe I had this pendant in front of me for almost one year.  It was collecting dust.  I still need to add the hook on the back.  It was so hard to fine the black jewelry supplies or may be I didn't look hard enough.

Anyway, thanks again for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments.  Love reading them.

Bliss Note Cards

Hello,
I saw this card on SCS and just love it!

I made three different colors and I like them all. But the first one the bow is a bit over whelming.  I used a 1 1/4" ribbon from SU.  It didn't show in the picture. The card stocks were shimmery very pretty.  The post office would love this one.

Then I made this black and white with a smaller bow.
And this one.

Flowers, Flowers, and more Flowers

Hello,
About two weeks ago I spent all my free time making these flowers.  These flowers were made using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals.  I used the same instruction like I did  HERE except for these roses I made the center a little different.  There lots of flowers tutorials on Youtube.

These are lace flowers.  I cut about 6" of lace.  I didn't learn it from here but I couldn't fine the video that I learned from.

These are the ribbons roses  that I learned long ago and a few twisted circle flowers.

Thanks for taking a peak!  Have a wonderful weekend!
